As a Junior Interior Designer, you will play a key supporting role in the design and execution of high-end custom residential projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Designer in developing interior design concepts for luxury custom homes.
- Support the creation of design presentations, including mood boards, finish schedules, ID Drawings, and FF&E selections.
- Draft and revise floor plans, elevations, and details using AutoCAD or Revit
- Organize and manage the sample library.
- Maintain and organize meeting notes, project status, deliverables, and other relevant information.
- Research and source high-end materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures
- Assist in maintaining organized project documentation.
- Assist with coordinating vendors, trades, and consultants throughout the design and construction process.
- Stay informed on luxury design trends, products, and innovations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in interior design (internships in high-end residential design are a plus).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong sense of style and keen eye for detail, proportion, and materials.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be professional and polished in demeanor.
- Must be a creative problem solver focusing on solutions.
- Must show clear evidence of a commitment to professional growth.
Preferred:
- Experience with luxury residential or high-end custom home projects
- Familiarity with construction documents, cabinetry design, and millwork detailing
- Working knowledge of project timelines and vendor coordination
- NCIDQ certification or working toward certification is a plus
